Sony Honda Mobility Unveils Special AFEELA 1 in Collaboration with Artist Matt Copson at Frieze Los Angeles 2026

AFEELA at Frieze Los Angeles 2026

Tokyo, February 12, 2026 – Sony Honda Mobility Inc. (SHM) today announced that AFEELA will exhibit at Frieze Los Angeles 2026, from February 26 to March 1, 2026, at the Santa Monica Airport. As Frieze Los Angeles brings together over 100 premier galleries from 23 countries, AFEELA will join the world’s leading contemporary art fair to unveil a special AFEELA 1 created in collaboration with Matt Copson, an internationally acclaimed artist and director. This vehicle features a unique design that flows seamlessly from its exterior to its digital interface.

Guided by the vision of “Mobility as a Creative Entertainment Space,” SHM is working to evolve mobility from a mere means of transportation into new experiences through creating unprecedented value together with creators and partners. As part of this initiative, we are exhibiting at Frieze, the forefront of contemporary art, to demonstrate the fusion of technology and sensibility with AFEELA 1.

At Frieze, we will collaborate with artist Matt Copson. He is renowned for his visionary mastery of light and motion, imbuing his work with a vivid, living energy. This collaboration is rooted in his deep resonance with AFEELA’s vision of transforming mobility from a mere means of transportation into a creative entertainment space empowered by technology. Through this collaboration with Copson, Sony Honda Mobility explores new frontiers of expression at the intersection of contemporary art and mobility through AFEELA 1.

This special AFEELA 1 features a cohesive, distinctive design that spans from its energetic light-trail exterior wrap to its digital interfaces, including the Media Bar and Panoramic Screen, all created by Copson in his distinctive drawing style. Referencing Copson’s interest in childhood and the journey through life, seen in works such as Coming of Age (Trilogy) (2020-2025), the model elevates mobility into an unprecedented artistic experience.

To commemorate this collaboration, SHM will offer limited-edition tote bags to visitors at the exhibition.
