Sony Honda Mobility and Crunchyroll Unveil First-Ever Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle AFEELA 1 at Anime NYC

Sony Honda Mobility of America (SHMA), in collaboration with Crunchyroll and Aniplex, debuted the AFEELA 1 at Anime NYC 2025 with an exclusive Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle vehicle wrap – a striking design to highlight a groundbreaking first: AFEELA is the only vehicle that features Crunchyroll’s in-car anime entertainment experience.
For anime fans, this means their favorite stories and characters aren’t limited to the screen at home or in theaters – but now they can enjoy the world’s largest anime library on the move. This exclusive integration transforms AFEELA into more than just a car – it becomes a new stage for anime culture to live, breathe, and travel with fans everywhere.

The collaboration was showcased at Anime NYC, the East Coast’s largest anime convention, held August 21–24 at the Javits Convention Center. More than 100,000 fans came together to celebrate Japanese pop culture, and among the most talked-about moments was AFEELA demonstrating how anime and mobility can merge in new, meaningful ways.
Over the four-day event, attendees were able to:
- Step inside the AFEELA 1 to experience Crunchyroll streaming directly in the vehicle
- See the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle collaboration wrap brought to life with AFEELA, Crunchyroll and Aniplex
- Collect exclusive giveaways designed just for Anime NYC fans

The AFEELA 1 became one of the most talked-about highlights of the convention. By combining next-generation mobility technology with anime entertainment, SHMA and Crunchyroll offered attendees a unique vision of how design, streaming, and culture can seamlessly merge.
As for anime fans, the excitement continues beyond the show floor. The highly anticipated movie Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle will officially release in U.S. theaters on September 12, 2025, with special early screenings available in select cities starting September 10.
