A New Reality in Motion: Sony Honda Mobility at Unreal Fest Orlando 2025

At Unreal Fest 2025, Sony Honda Mobility showcased the future of the in-cabin experience – one where entertainment, intelligence, and mobility converge in stunning real time. In partnership with Epic Games and Q-Games, we unveiled how cutting-edge gaming technology can redefine the way we interact with vehicles, beginning with AFEELA 1.

Held in Orlando, Florida from June 2–5, Unreal Fest welcomed developers, designers, and creators from around the world to explore the potential of Unreal Engine across industries. For the first time, Sony Honda Mobility brought its collaborative vision to life with Epic Games in front of a live audience: a cinematic user interface for AFEELA 1 that transforms every drive into a connected, immersive journey.

Our Presence: Driving the Future with Unreal Engine

On Wednesday, June 4, our team took the stage in North Session Room 7 to present “Making the AFEELA 1 Cockpit Unreal.” This hour-long session featured insights from our UI/UX developers and collaborators at Epic Games and Q-Games.

Together, we demonstrated:

The debut of a 3D native map rendering system built using Unreal Engine’s newly enhanced capabilities.
A next-generation ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) simulation that visualizes vehicle perception in real time.
A fully interactive interface, blending real-world data with entertainment and information in motion.

Takuya Nishibayashi explained the strengths of the AFEELA's digital cockpit, which leverages Unreal Engine.

Joe Andresen gave up update on the production readiness of Unreal Engine’s 3D native map rendering system.

The session emphasized the power of co-creation, a foundational principle of AFEELA. By uniting automotive innovation with game engine technology, we’re not just enhancing driver experience, we’re reinventing it.

Pierre Mizzi demonstrated how Unreal Engine is being utilized by showing Blueprint visual scripting system.

Yuya Yamaguchi shared the system architecture of the platform built on Unreal Engine.

Attendees learned about AFEELA 1’s next-gen display technology firsthand, illustrating how Unreal Engine brings cinematic depth and interactivity to a driving interface where navigation isn’t just a map, but a living world.
