AFEELA Co-Creation Program: Exploring the Potential of Mobility Spaces Through Music
Sony Honda Mobility (SHM) is continuing to explore the potential of mobility space enhanced by music as part of the “AFEELA Co-Creation Program (tentative title)”. This time, we have conducted a project with game music creator Hideki Sakamoto to explore these possibilities.
Sakamoto, known for his work on acclaimed titles such as the main theme “Lifelight” for “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate” and the “Echochrome” series, has been at the forefront of elevating musical experiences in gaming. For this project, his sound pieces were specially adapted for a three-dimensional soundscape. The project aimed to reimagine the mobility experience by allowing participants to listen to newly mixed tracks specifically designed for the AFEELA Prototype 2024. This unique approach sought to demonstrate how music could transform the concept of mobility.
AFEELA represents more than just a means of transportation; it embodies a future where technology and humanity coexist in harmony. The platform aims to ignite the imagination of creators, serving as a catalyst for inventions, art, and innovations that will shape our future.
As part of this initiative, several creators were invited to experience AFEELA’s immersive musical environment, offering them a glimpse into the future of mobility. SHM plans to build upon such experiences as they continue to work towards an open development environment.
We invite you to watch our video series, which captures everything from behind-the-scenes of the sound production to the creators’ reactions, telling the complete story of this groundbreaking project.
